Hey! I’m Moushmi, former marketer now mommying two little boys who you’ll hear about a lot through this blog. I have dabbled in art through my childhood without ever really creating anything. Well, that doesn’t excuse my lack of talent but what it did, was help establish a sense of taste and interest in art and DIY that I carry around today.
I quit my career of 16 years to care for my 2 kids, travel and create things for my home. All I’ve done since I’ve been home is clean, feed and put baby to sleep, so I do have a long way to go. For almost 3 decades in my life I’ve not lived in any city for more than 6 years at a time, changed schools 8 times, and homes more times than I can count.
In the last 7 years since I got married however I’ve not moved out of the 5 km radius I started in. I started playing with art and materials as a way to move my elder son away from screens even as a 1 year old and found we enjoyed the process quite a bit. When I learnt about process art and various techniques kids can use to explore these materials and gather a sense of aesthetic early in their sensibilities I have been quite excited.
All experiments on this front have been positive hence the blog to document our fun with the process of Art. We have our 1 year old on the wagon as well and he loves his material.
If you have kids, you enjoy colour, like getting your hands dirty then this is for you. Get your kids, buy some paint, make some space in your home and make your own artventures. You can take ideas from this blog and make it your own with some variations, let me know how it goes, I’d love to hear and learn about it.
